Why I will not be using bloody Evernote

I really like Evernote in so many ways. It allows you to work in pretty much the same way on any platform, so I could just log into Evernote on my PC, iPad, Nexus 7 or smartphone and away I would go.
The big advantage is that you have access to the same basic word processor whatever platform you are on, and the notes are automatically synched every time you go online so everything is how you left it last. And you can store and access notes in almost any format, including photos, scans, audio clips etc. It is very powerful.
But there are two drawbacks. One is that you can't use notes offline unless you pay, but this isn't a dealbreaker as the Premium service is only £35 a year and you get lots of extra downloads and so on for the money.
But the next thing is a dealbreaker for me. The word processor, otherwise perfect in its simplicity, has no word count.
As a person who sells words for money, this simple and cheap feature is absolutely essential. Bugger bugger bugger bugger bugger.
Back to Dropbox with QuickOffice (on iOS and Android) and Kingsoft Word (on PC) and nothing on the Android phone.
