Blues on the Radio

Turned on the car radio this morning to be greeted with a blare of static. A search up and down the dial showed that while reception was relatively clear on pop'n'drivel stations further up the spectrum, the interference was at its worst exactly on the only channels worth listening to - Radios 3 and 4.
Could it be that the antenna was hitting the roof bar? Removing it made no difference.
I was beginning to fear that the radio would need to be expensively replaced when the penny dropped.
The fab Zagg dual USB power outlet was still plugged into the cigarette lighter auxiliary power socket. Clearly, its magical power to charge picky mobiles came at a price.
Pulling it out with a mighty curse cured the problem.
It's not a major thing to keep the gadget in the glove pocket where it rolls about with the USB cable, Swiss Army knife, disposable cutlery, spare pair of specs and all the other stuff I keep in it, but it is proof once again of the universal truth behind the title of this blog - THERE IS ALWAYS BLOODY SOMETHING.
